I've had my eye on one of these for months now, but spoke to Brant and he suggested they were changing the gearing. They have been missing off the website for a while now.

Anyone got one and can tell me what they think please?

At the moment I have two bikes and I want to make it just one bike for space reasons so I'm looking at something that will be good for commuting but also good for trails in the local woods and parks as I ride a lot with my young uns. Hence cyclocross as road tyres are damn uncomfortable when not on the road.

But I also want the flexibility to go out riding with friends on their road bikes too.

  • Yes, just got one. I intend to use it as a road bike and having ridden it a couple of times I love it, even the SRAM groupset (I'm dyed in the wool Shimano). I rang On One and asked them to put more road friendly chainrings of 52 and 36 on which they were happy to do. Great bike.
  • I started a thread in road buying earlier. Very interested in making this my Best bike.

If only it took 'guards, otherwise it's the Kinesis ATR (frameset only) for pretty much the same price to get that versatility. Wonder if they'll end up doing another version as more of a " do it all" machine with bosses for them? Having got a winter bike with full guards I couldn't go back to not having any, and this would need to replace my winter bike and 'crosser. Ah well...
