aldi arm/leg warmer warning

I bought the latest ones last month and with the threat of cold weather next week I realised I hadn't tried them for fit.
they have a seperate elastic with gripper stitched at the ends rather than just a hem and gripper like the older ones.
One leg warmer elastic came away at the stitching about an inch long and on trying the arm warmers the same started to happen.
Took them back this afternoon for a refund.
Shame as they look a good bit of kit otherwise.
Anyway just a heads up to anyone who may have bought these and threw them in the drawer like I did

And they are now 1/2 price at £2.99 each.
I bought one of each and they haven't fallen apart yet - mind you at that price I think I would get the sewing machine out.0 -
Every Aldi/ Lidl thread I post 'keep the receipt'
Ok it may be cheap so bin it when it wears out, but from experience it breaks whey before it wears out.
'Keep The Receipt'!!!!I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
Used mine regularly since purchase no problems at all , yet !

I've used arm warmers twice and leg warmers once on 6 hour cycles and they were great both times. Threw them in the regular wash/tumble drier after use and they've come out just fine.
I don't expect too much from Aldi cycling or running gear (get what you pay for) but these seem just fine for the money.Red Triban 3

If they had of been reduced to that I would of bought some more and as you say sewed them
Seems I may of bought a bad batch.
out of curiosity all the ones from that shop had red stitching whereas another shops stock had white stitching. What did you peeps get ??

I've got Aldi jerseys unworn from four years ago as the others I bought at the same time have yet to show any signs of wear despite relentless use day in day out. A contrast to my Castelli Jersey that is looking a little second hand after a few weekend rides of use.Faster than a tent.......0
