Avid Elixir 5 Brake Lever Blade Replacement

Looking for a bit of advice.
Had a little cuddle with a tree and a rock the other day
Bent my Avid Elixir 5 Brake Blade Lever and have since ordered a new one. Managed to straighten the lever out and it still works but just not 100% happy with it etc.
Wondering if it is just a simple change as I have heard stories about a particular Pivot Press tool being required and then other stories that it is just a simple job that is straight forward with no particular special tools being required to put back in one of the bolts.
Look forward to hearing from anyone and can supply pictures if need be.
