Hi

Please could I ask for some advise regarding upgrades to an ageing 2008 GT Avalanche 1.0
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/gt/avalanche-10-disc-2008-mountain-bike-ec000669#features

I need to replace most of the drivetrain and as money is tight I'm looking at sourcing and fitting the components myself (will probably be posting again when it's all gone wrong). Anyway, before I flash the cash, does anyone know if I'm likely to run into any incompatibilities or issues with the following:

Shimano Deore M592 Shadow 9 Speed Rear Mech - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-deore-m592-shadow-9-speed-rear-mech/rp-prod40542
Shimano Deore M590 9 Speed Triple Chainset - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-deore-m590-9-speed-triple-chainset/rp-prod40496
Shimano Deore HG61 9 Speed MTB Cassette - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shimano-deore-hg61-9-speed-mtb-cassette/rp-prod31059
SRAM PC951 9 Speed Chain - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/sram-pc951-9-speed-chain/rp-prod9911

I need to swap out the bottom bracket too, but I don't know what size until I get the old out. All I know is it's octalink cartridge sealed.

Any advise or recommendations for alternative set up would be much appreciated.

Dan
