Yup - absolutely. I think I still have one on the garage. The other I used to keep in the office as an emergency tyre in case of catastrophic failure/cut in my Rubino Pros. But definitely talking about RaceLite Hardcase. I suspect you'd only have had a handful of punctures on Rubino Pros too. I've been complete years commuting on those without punctures.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
I've gone with pro 4s now. Used 25mm service course over the summer but can't get a satisfactory fit with mudguards so I've kind of been forced into 23mm now. Put SC on the front a week and just put a pro 4 endurance on the back. Thinking is that the back is more fiddly to remove so one that's a bit more resistant to damage seems sensible. Hope it all works out! Love the feel of the michelins.0

There's not a lot in it but the Paves are not as quick I'm sure. There's a section of road over which I compete with friends for the Strava KoM and we pinch seconds from each other on it. When I strapped the Paves onto my (then) new Scott Foil, I'd bust a gut and not get close the the time I was getting on the Volagi, so, for a few days, I figured it was the Foil (unusual given that it's 0.5kg lighter than the V and far more aggressive and presumably more aero). After several abortive attempts, I (rather reluctantly as the green stripes looked great) swapped the Foil onto the Rubinos the Volagi was using. I was instantly back up to speed. Since then I've swapped the Foil between the Paves and Michelin Pro 4 and notice a small but consistent difference. For training etc, it's not a big deal and, TBH, I often swap because the Paves aren't cheap and wear pretty quickly where the Pro 4 have been heavily discounted.
I run my SS commuter in Amsterdam on the 27c Paves as I like to stay upright in my work clothes.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

A rear Bontrager hardcase tyre is the best bit of cycling equipment I ever bought for the purposes of winter riding - I am not interested in average speed - it was used for 8 years for 10000+ miles and I suffered no punctures, I retired it because I had used it for 8 years. When looking for a replacement, I noticed that nearly all the reviews (evans) were favourable - similar to my experience. Just thought I would add this post for balance.0 -
i have no experience of any other winter tyres other than the Schwalbe Durano Plus Performance for me, I have one which has 4137 miles as a rear tyre then moved to the front, still going strong at 5134miles. I have another on the back which has 1000miles on it so far, no punctures yet(touches wooden desk). I don't care about the weight as they are on my winter bike anyway0
