Ticket ballot results are due out today. Anyone put in for them?

IBe got my fingers crossed but every game I picked is on the 'most over subscribed' list.

Race - Fuji Norcom Straight
Sun - Cervelo R3
Winter / Commute - Dolan ADX

  • Put in for just over £4k's worth. The two big England pool games, the two possible England QFs, both semis and the final and the play off.

Got nothing. Not a dicky bird.

Oddly, more disappointed than relieved. From previous experience of summer and winter Olys, being at the events makes a big difference.

Nothing. Not sure I've ever been successful in a rugby ballot.

I put in for each England game, the quarters, semis and the final. I even ticked the box to move up a category if I failed at my selected category.

    I got nothing.

Applied for lots of lesser games out of town for my son, he just wanted to go to a game. Also applied for a few at Twickenham thinking chances were slim. Got Wales v Australia at Twickenham. Very pleased with that.

My father in law is a big rugby fan and due to being a secretary of the village team, he always gets tickets.
He got me and Mrs EKE tickets to my first, and so far only, game of rugby was England Vs New Zealand a few years ago (spoiler alert: we won).

He has quite a few ticketsfor the RWC and I'm going to a couple I think. He shares the tickets around the family, so I'm not really sure which game(s) I'm going to. Not that bothered really. Its all just blokes tickling each other under the cover of the scrum and playing with silly shaped balls.

  • In for £2,400 including some lesser supported games but got zilch.
If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.

Having spent a fortune I have a lot of tickets; including all England games, both twickenham quarters, both semis, the final and the bronze final, plus several other non England games at Wembley, the Olympic park, Villa Park, Stadium MK and Brighton.

The England game in Manchester and the Australia game came from England Rugby Travel with an overinflated coach ticket. Everything else came via harlequins members ballot.

    Happy but poor.

At least Sketchley really wants to go, I'm going to some games but I'm not actually that fussed.

So why not donate them to someone who really wants them?

    Nice try.
I said I'm not that fussed, not that I didn't want to go. I can take it or leave it, but as I'll be going for free (other than forking out for a few beers) I'll take it.

Well, if you don't ask... eh?

We actually got a few of our picks, so not too bad, although we didn't get England vs. Fiji. Would have been nice, as it's the opening ceremony and my birthday!

    Got:

    France v Italy
    Wales v Fiji
    NZ v Georgia
Sunday Twikkers QF (hopefully England v Scotland)
  • My lad plays mini rugby at a local club, I'm a member and coach so got a few via the club (2 group games, both QFs that England could be in and both SFs). Couldn't get any tickets to the final despite being in both ballots.
    Can't wait.

I didn't get any tickets, but I did get to see the cup yesterday and meet Bod.
