Rigid steel fork on Aluminium XC frame?

Hi everyone,
So I destroyed the fork on my Specialized Carve today and I'm thinking of swapping it for a Surly Karate Monkey instead. Could a rigid steel fork cause any problems for the XC focused aluminium frame? I've never ridden a rigid bike before and I'm a rather aggressive and heavy rider, so I'm afraid that I could snap the frame or something.

No, as long as the A2C is similar the.n it will be fine and put no more loads into the frame than the suspension fork.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
