Hi,
looking to replace my elite chrono fluid trainer. It's a great bit of kit but is fixed at one level of resistance which just isn't high enough. I'm spinning my 53 x 11 gear at 75 rpm fairly easily.
not certain if the resistance unit is not working right or if it is just not up to the job.
So can anyone suggest a Turbo trainer that has higher levels of resistance but without breaking the bank.
It will be used in the garage so noise isn't so much of an issue. i have just signed up to trainer road so if it correlates well with virtual power hat would be great, although I have a stages crank on my good bike.
Wahoo kickr just isn't in the budget....

Tacx Booster has very high resistance - up to 1000 watts.
But you are looking at around £250 for it0 -
Rollers, Elite Arion Mag has resistance settings, way more fun than a turbo trainer.0
