id go for the reacto, just because its on my short list to. Standard response being to take the one that feels best after a test ride tho. if you have tried the reacto, what did you think about the seatpost flex?0

Yea I do need to test ride them both but the cevelo is a frameset atm so I cant test ride it, the merida I am yet to, will be in the next couple of days, local bike shop is still playing around with it, I have only test road the felt ar and giant propel, the ar had a lot of set post flex aswell but only from the stupid way the post is held in place but it still didn't feel great, that's why I was asking for advice because the propel was very rigid and hard to ride and I got told the cevelo is similar0

Never ridden the reacto but I have an S5 and I absolutely love it. Very responsive, fast and still feels exciting and fun every time i take it out even after a year. Great for triathlon too. I switched the seatpost round and stuck some clip on tri bars and it was great at Ironman UK this year. It's actually pretty comfortable on longer rides despite the stiffness and its very fast. I got a good deal from NRGcycles.co.uk - worth checking out what they've got.0

There are more comfortable bikes out there I'm sure that are designed for comfort rather than speed. But I have ridden the S5 on many 100 mile plus rides without an issue and like I said it wasn't a problem on the ironman, I actually found it fairly comfortable considering the distance. But I had it set up properly which I imagine is quite important. VWD as far as I can tell it just fractionally lighter but for me not worth the extra as extreme weight wasn't my main concern. I doubt it's any faster in the real world. Millar rode the standard S5 in the tour and he was ok!
You definitely can't get any bigger than 23mm tyres on the S5 if that is a concern. Must admit that did initially concern me but I haven't noticed the difference from my old 25s to be honest. And did I mention its fast!!
Feel free to PM me if you want any more info.0
