Wot about these?

Boyle needs stringing up for murdering Floyd like that.
There are some things that are just unacceptable..... she is many of them.0 -

That's worse than the Scissor Sisters cover of Comfortably Numb.
Surely Waters and co aren't that short of cash, that they allow their music to be raped by something like that0 -
I generally hate covers but here's a couple that I like:

and for Arran and all the other two wheeled hippies:

But originals are better, like:

Instead of:

Can't decide which is better. This, or the original. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8obtRtealE0

Reminds me very much of Rhydian missing the point and ruining "who wants to live forever". Why do they not see that these songs are meant to be melancholy and instead just focus on the technical aspects, singing them almost in a celebratory way...
This is what makes the true great singers - not their technical prowess but the ability to fill the songs with feeling rather than just words.0 -

Ditto whichever X-Factor horror it was covering Hallelujah for a Xmas number 1. Hanging is too good for the likes of them.0 -
I wish people would tell me what the links are so I dont have to click on them to find out what its all about
ie Nine inch nails hurt http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htmKZKR7oyc

Totally agree and what are the arms about?
Just what I was going to write. WTF? The way she came into you'd think the prat had written the song.
The older I get, the better I was.0 -
A really good cover adds something new or improves the original. Sacks of shit like that fuck-awful over of "there she goes" or here's where the story ends" should be punishable by slow death
It's just a hill. Get over it.0 -
If it has a young pop band/Z-list X-Factor connection then 99 times out of a hundred it will be piss-poor and should be avoided at all costs.0

If you ignore the recent stuff associated with him I actually did like this cover:

To be fair though that song is an example of how a cover can improve the original (not talking about the Alexandra Burke cover though!).
If Alexandra Burke deserves punishment (as she undoubtably does) I'm happy to be the one to dish it out :twisted:0
