Ultra Torque Cups for Ridley Phaeton.

Just tried to fit my new UT cups to my new RIdley Phaeton, however I can't get the drive side cup to screw in at all. I just took them off my Colnago active, and noted that the thread unscrewed towards the rear mech. Do I need to buy English or Italian threaded cups to get my bike on the road?
