16 doesn't seem a lot, does it? Seems to be getting harder to bag a load of wins and shows historical comparisons are hard to make.
(The only way I can post is on my phone Nd by replying to another post. Sort it out bikeradar)

Good point made me wonder, so I went back to 2010 and had a look, these are all from wiki:

    Cavendish 11 (plus TTT)
    Greipel 19 (plus TTT)
    Kristoff 0
    Kittel 3 (0WT)
    Demare 2 (0 WT)

Contador 4 (plus 2 stripped from ban)
    Froome 0
    Nibali 4 (plus TTT)

For the sprinters, I think it shows that there is more top level sprinters to compete with now. thus spreading out the wins. Contador winning more than when he was juiced.

Cor blimey, guvnor! Strike a light!

It's not surprising to see Greipel with so many wins, but I think he always targets the early season races, perhaps at the cost of races in the later part of the year. But what would I know, I'm not a trainer or doctor.
It does seem like Kittel will soon take the most wins of any German rider, though. Pity, as Greipel seems like a much nicer guy.
