Final University Project Survey - Chronic Injuries in Cyclis

Hi,
I'm studying product design and technology at Brighton University and for my final design project, I am looking to address both comfort on the bicycle, and prevention of chronic illnesses as a result of cycling.
Specifically I am looking into our interaction with the saddle, and how this area could perhaps be the cause of unreported injuries and therefore improved.
If you could perhaps take two minutes to fill out this brief survey, and due to the perhaps sensitive nature of the discussion, please be assured the results are completely anonymous and will be used in the context of my academic work, and won't be shared with any other party.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and hopefully completing my questions. If you wish to discuss it further or have any queries please don't hesitate to message me.
Cheers!
Ben Freeman

I did it, but I think trying to re-invent the saddle is a big ask.0

Thanks Undertones,
Don't think I'll be re-inventing it, just address any failures it has with certain users. Cheers again for filling it out.0 -
No problem,
Thing with saddles is that everyone is different and prefers different stuff. Maybe a saddle with changeable inserts would be a good plan. I'm sure you know a lot more than me on the subject however.0 -
You do know your research does not comply your uni's research ethics guidelines?0
-
Apologies Darkhairedlord, I thought I had forfilled any ethical requirements, but I will close the survey to new replies whilst I double check it.0

Ok guys, the survey is now back open to replies.
To address any ethical issues any of you may have;
The purpose of the study, is to to obtain the experiences of a small study sample size, capped at 200 responses, of chronic injury obtained during regular use of a bicycle.
As previously mentioned, the survey may address potentially personal and embarrassing issues, and therefore the survey has been made completely anonymous, and not even I will be able to identify individual responses or their IP addresses.
The study is expected to take no longer than 7 days, although notice will be given should the survey be extended longer than this time frame.
Reimbursement or financial reward will not be given to the participants of this study under any circumstances.
The survey is completely voluntary, and subjects may leave at any time, skip any questions they are not prepared to answer, and request their responses be deleted.
The data obtained from the results of the survey, whilst remaining anonymous, will be stored locally on the surveyors machine, for the term of approximately 2 years, and only shared within academic circles, for the purpose of the surveyors own academic purposes. The results may also be displayed publicly as part of the surveyors work, or within the context of my academic progress. The data obtained will not be shared with the public unless deemed necessary, and no data will be shared with any third party.
Should you require more information, request to make a complaint, or have any comments of the procedure, please contact Ben Freeman at btf10@uni.brighton.ac.uk and request the attention of my supervisor.
Thanks again for your time and responses.0 -
Done. Two points: 1. It's "tried" not "tryed" in your saddle selection question. 2. You suggest choosing all that apply in the last question, but it only permits one selection.0
