Well, after owning my CAADX for almost 2 years it was time for something new. The CAADX will stay for winter/commuting duties but I am very happy to present my new Synapse.

CAADX

Love the paint. Comfy as the reviews say?

liking the garage door, just got one myself. Had it long?

  • Could you not have gone a size up? I'm not a great lover of masses amount of seatpost showing combined with a long headtube and a stack of spacers. The caadx looks spot on.

    Great bikes though.

Masses of seat post is cool, masses of spacers is not.

Judging by use of jeffy pedals perhaps it's straight out of the box and not set up for him yet?

Guessed correctly. Spent the rest of that evening getting it set up but that photo was as soon as i got it home.

Had my first run on it today and it was a dream. Rides fantastically despite the terrible roads around here.

Reflectors have gone. Seat dropped and stem lowered too.

Haven't updated this thread in a long time. Added another Cannondale to the stable so i have updated the thread title to something that reflects my current situation.

Going to update this with a bit of a picture diary so please bear with me. we start with the photo posted above. My new Synapse. My good bike. The CAADX relegated to winter duties for which it was absolutely fantastic:

When the weather picked up, the synapse re-appeared:

Decided i was going to use the synapse over winter and the CAADX became a dedicated indoor trainer bike:
34094892213_8648ea95eb_c.jpg20170125_193133-01 by Ian Gate, on Flickr

And then i spotted something I've always wanted on sale. N+1 kicked in and i picked up a new bike (with upgrades from my collection):

So i now have 2 good bikes:

So far, i absolutely love it. Done my longest sportive on it. It's fast, agile, stiff - everything i expected it to be.
