rear wheel spacers?

Hi
Have just acquired a frame which has a 130mm rear dropout space and was hoping to use some old 6 speed
wheels which im guessing are 126mm which I already use on another bike.
Can you use a spacer to pack out?
any advice welcome

    Is it a quick release axle?

    yes mavics with campag hubs.
    why? don't they clamp up tight enough? with a washer to fit between

    If the hubs are conventional and have screwed locknuts it could work with a 1 mm washer on both sides (best under the locknuts)
