Fork safety concern.

I’ve seen a nice mid nineties Colnago Tecnos that I like. It’s in very good condition and it’s in my size too. Unfortunately it has a carbon fork/steerer and stem.
I’ve never owned any carbon components. Should I be concerned about safety?
Thank you.

Is the fork original or after market ?
I'd not be overly concerned about the fork myself.0 -
If its a Star fork, no worries it's very strong fork. Unless the bike has signs of neglect or corrosion then it'll likely be OK. Worst case, there's good money in used Colnago partsMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

About as concerned about buying anything used or 2nd hand with no warranty.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
Subject to the usual precautions applicable to all second hand purchases, I don't think there is any inherent life span limit on carbon forks/ components. A few years back I overheard a sales person telling a potential customer that he would not expect carbon frames to last more than five years. My 2006 Roubaix Pro is still working fine with no signs of weakness.

Thank you all for your responses.
Comparing pictures it appears to be a Colnago Star fork and probably the original. Quite a chunky and straight profile viewed from the side.
The bike looks well cared for so I’m not really too concerned but thought I would check.0
