Hi All

I have had the same mountain bike for 20 odd years and I know nothing which is why I could do with all of your help. I have a Diamond Back Sorrento Sport bought in around 1992. I would like to replace the Stem to an adjustable one so that I can get more comfortable on the bike. I am trying to find the correct type or size I guess and there are difenet types out there.
Does anyone know if old bikes were all the same or what it would likely be?

Thanks!

I imagine you'd need one with a 1 inch steerer clamp and 25.4mm bar clamp (also 1 inch, but those are the commonly stated sizes), but I could be wrong. Best place to ask would be retrobike.co.uk

You don't want an adjustable one. Find something with the length and rise that puts the grips where you want them.
