FSA SLK light crankset fit hollow tech BB

Hi all
I've only been riding since summer when I bought I Felt Z85 and am really enjoying it!
The felt has mostly 105 although the crankset is only stock Shimano, but it does have a hollow tech II BB. I have however recently seen a FSA SLK light crankset going cheep, so my question is what would I need to do to get this to fit, would I need to get a different BB, and if I did would that be worse than the hollow tech?
Also apart from looking nice what benefits would the FSA crankset give in reality ?
Sorry if this seems like a stupid question but I am a newbie!

The FSA K force light is compatible with Shimano. I think the SLK is as well.Ritchey Road Logic - Focus Izalco Chrono Max 1.0 TT0

Thanks for the replies guys
Yes DJ58 that's the crank set I'm looking at
Would it just fit onto the hollow tech bb?0 -
Unless things have changed in the last couple of years FSA SLK were compatable with HTII but the light model wasn't.0

Depends, it has a 24mm dia. axle the same as the HTII, but is the FSA axle the same length as the Shimano? I don't know, I've never used FSA cranks and BB's. Also if there is a difference in the width of the FSA and HTII bearing cups, you may run into problems, the FSA axle may not protrude far enough through the Non Drive Side cup to enable you to fit the LH crank arm and/or the Drive Side may foul the bearing cup. If the axle is longer you will have end float.
To be on the safe side you would need to purchase the appropriate FSA BB. If you want a lighter crankset but want to retain HTII why not consider the 105 5700/5750 or Ultegra 6700/6750 which are now discounted due to the introduction of 5800/6800.0 -
FSA MegaExo carbon cranks typically needed an 8000-series BB that uses slimmer bearings. HT2 will probably work, but the bearings will be overloaded and wear-out quicker.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Just have a look on the net and you'll find that FSAs light/carbon chainsets don't work with Shimano BBs, you'll get the spindle through but it'll be extremely tight and this will cause noise and premature wear. Just fit a MegoExo BB, I used them for years without an issue........unlike BB30.0

SLK comes in 3 variations :-
BB30 - 30mm & narrow, will not fit a BSA threaded frame just a BB30.
MegaExo - 24mm like Shimano, carbon FSA cranks are very slightly thinner so needs their own BB to go in BSA frame. Allow FSA cranks fit fine, so it's just the SLK & K-Force that need FSA Carbon specific BB.
BB386 - 30mm & same width as Shimano, will fit BSA or BB30 frame, but again with specific BB.0
