Evening,
I'm looking for a new mountain bike in the £300-£400 price band. Having spent a lot of time reading the various posts I have been directed to the Voodoo Hoodoo, Carrera Vulcan or that one from Decathlon. However, can someone give me an idea if the following couple compare favorably to those -
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/vitu ... prod107044
http://www.evanscycles.com/products/gt/ ... e-ec054148
Once I know this I think I will be in a position to commit to buying.
Thanks

Forget the GT, the fork has no damping.
The vitus is better, the fork is damped and is lighter than that on the GT, but it's not as good as the one on the Voodoo Hoodoo or Rockrider 520.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
