Morning folks.
I've just had a brainwave and discovered a problem immediately afterwards. I've always fancied a winter hack/2nd bike but not had the funds nor the inclination. Just realised that I have an old beat-up Battaglin Performer in our garage with the above group set on it. I can transfer that onto a new cheap(ish) frame perhaps. Question is, which frame? Anyone any ideas? I believe it's Daytona throughout but need to check 1st. And therein lies the problem. Once I've sorted the correct frame, am I going to need any special tools to remove and then install on the new bike? I have some but they work on my shimano group set and I believe that they are not compatible. And my mechanic skills are wore than useless. Plus the wheels. Don't know what to do with them. The reason the Battaglin is beat up is because many years I saw it in my rear view mirror bouncing down the M6 at 60+ mph! It had fallen off the roof. I'm not going to ride the frame again because I have no idea if there is an
Y inherent weakness in it. Think the wheels maybe ok?
Appreciate any suggestions and mods pls move if in wrong area.
