Even more confused now.
Holy moses just read loads on here im still confused. I want decent lights for a mountain bike on the road, wont be going off road in the dark to be honest, just want to be seen and safe front and rear on the road, maybe a few roads wont be lit, any ideas please?0 -
How long is your ride? Do you mind recharging when you get back?0

Lezyne Mega Drive if you want decent output for not much outlay.
It will fulfil your original questions no probs.
No faffing with leads/battery packs on bike etc.
USB Rechargeable or spare battery available.
CRC have them in stock.

Edit: Just seen your budget.... still worth every penny though!

Ride wont be more then 2/3 hours at night but might do day rides of 6 hours where will be good to be seen, not really into recharging as might forget to lol.
I heard flashing rears are better as stand out more then a always on rear?0 -
Thanks for that link wow, that's expensive!0

You have to compromise ;-). Long run times, high output and not having to recharge often don't exist even at top end!
Though look at this:

On low power it will last many hours, a good price, a good name and more importantly a solid battery.0 -
Got this one a few weeks ago and so far so good a real bargain http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261361092992? ... 26_rdc%3D10

30 min runtime? Isnt the battery a pain and where do you put it?0
-
That actually means that once there is 30 min or less runtime remaining one warning led will be lit and it will flash.
Not that the lights only last 30 minutes.I don't do smileys.

I got the same but from another seller and in red so its obviously much better than yours
Cant fault it on the medium setting it did 3 hours the other week and the warning LED wasnt flashing so possibly up to another hour. Battery pack isnt waterproof but a few layers of clingfilm and it will be at least rainproof. Cheap enough to buy 2 for spares or use both and burn out the retinas of your mates on a night ride.Fig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0 -
