Want an AM bike for around £2k

My old S-Works has done its time now and I feel the need for a new bike that will hopefully be a bit more reliable!
I'm looking for a bike that will handle stuff from the Alps to Swinley, though its main use will be stuff like BPW etc.
Currently looking at the Nukeproof Mega AM but not sure if there is anything else worth considering at the price point?
I'm also quite tall (6"5) so I'm assuming an XL frame is in order?
Thanks in advance!

Rose Uncle Jimbo or Granite Chief are good.
My choice would be the Banshee Rune or Spitfire V2.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Self Built Titue El Guapo from on-one, using some selected bits from the S-works? (not that I can see it as that link in your sig is broken!).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Ah brilliant thanks for the suggestions. I was looking at a Process but my mate has one, can't be accused of lacking imagination.0

Might be worth a read http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/categ ... -14-48874/. Theres a demo on at Swinley on the 15/16th Nov. XL will be available to test.A Flock of Birds

XL Mega AM will be fine, I ride one and I'm 6'4".
Great price at the moment from CRC or ubyk (for the 2014).

Just stick a Reverb Stealth on it (£212 from bike-discount) and you're sorted.__________________

If it were me I'd go for mondraker foxy, great frame with outstanding geometry and well worth upgrading over time. One of the best all round bikes out there IMO0

You'd pass over a decent bike because your mate has one? Its a bike, not a cocktail dress. All the gear, no idea and loving the smell of jealousy in the morning.
