I have been googling away and can't find anyone selling one of these, either new or second hand.

I have everything else I need for the bike, but I need a frame.

Any suggestions where I can look please. I think XS is just right as height is 160cm.

Thanks.

Drop into Paul Milnes Ebay shop

He has a couple of XXS frames listed that might be suitable

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tifosi-CK7-Au ... 1e8b000b3e

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/merida-ride-l ... 2585e2550b

The above are frame only but I'm sure you can source some forks fairly easily

There is also a 44cm Merida frame and forks

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Merida-Ride-8 ... 6b331cb55d

But maybe that would be too small?

I've bought from this site on a couple of occasions - excellent service and very helpful. Give them a call if you need to sort out something specific.

I will need to do some proper measuring. at 160cm most sizing models put her at around 48 or 49cm frames. Clearly you need to try them to check the fit.

    Do Bianchi sell the framesetI?

A mate has just purchased a Beone from Merlin for his wife and that is only
quite small, she's only around 5'2"

Could be worth a look !

Sizing looks good, but it's a complete bike.

I have good wheels, a complete 10 speed 105 group set and a bunch of unused other stuff sitting ready to use, so economically it seems that I should just buy a frameset.

Its either that, or buy the whole bike and resell the junk it comes with.

Problem is that's how I ended up with the wheels and the 105 stuff.

I feel like the law of diminishing returns is catching me up.

    700c
  • Kenesis do small road frames that suit a rider from 150cm-160cm, so check them out and ribble do lots of frames at 44 cm which is for people 5 foot- 5 foot 4. Bob Jacksons do some really nice steel frames in smaller sizes if thats her thing as well.

As far as I know Bianchi just do small bikes,I have'nt seen very small framesets available by them. They are on facebook so you could ask them.

My partner is 5'3" and she had a 48cm synapse that fitted perfectly.

I'd suggest buying something like that from Paul's with the cheap groupo and sell on that once you've put on the decent bits n bobs you have.

    Job done.

At 5' 3 1/2" (I am not allowed to forget the half) a 48 seemed spot on. Managed to get a Dawes 300 frame at a very good price from the LBS.

Fitted it with the stuff I had left over from upgrading my Roubaix, so DT Axis 1.0 wheels, 105 shifters and rear mech, Tiagra chainset and front mech.

The deal is that when she has ridden enough miles to know what's wrong with all that then she can change it!

At last someone to ride with that is slower than me.

  • As long as she likes it, I would'nt want that frame myself. Theres better and nicer choices available at a reasonable price.
