Looks like a fun way to spend time in the garage...

Cant wait to give this a try - signed up for beta testing....but so have 9,999 others.
Pity about the timing - show us a glimpse then say we cant have it until the end of the winter season!

SHould have bought a Tacx VR; they've had multiplayer function on any route for a long time.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

    The following quote worries me.

"Owners of sophisticated turbos like the Wahoo KICKR, will get the most accurate representation of their efforts in the online world"

Ultimately I imagine racing against others will be largely pointless as people will not be competing on a level playing ground.

Using a turbo to ride over real terrain in a virtual environment does make a welcome break to interval training.

I think I'd rather just do my hour on the turbo listening to a good album and then play some games that don't have playstation 2 era graphics.

While I was initially excited about this I think it will have too many problems?

You should just smash the turbo on super light mode and spin at 35mph wining the game...
Even if you have a power meter and it's based on that all the fatties will win who can churn out 400w for an hour because they weigh the same as a small rhino.
    Will be easy to cheat.
Different turbos / tyres have different resistances meaning different speeds

    etc etc etc.

I've signed up for Beta as it's interesting to me as a gamer, cyclist and professional software developer but it will be interesting to see how they tackle these issues.
