Forest of Dean or Afan?

I'm heading to the area for a bit of an over night mountain bike jolly from up north.

I'm defo doing bike park Wales one day and was going to do either a route at Afan or have mooch at FoD, which do you chaps think would be best to do?

I don't get the chance to get away often haha.

Thanks pal, didn't realise there is a whole Afan v FoD thread.......should have searched haha.

I'm stuck now I fancied Afan but FoD sounds fun to play around on the downhill stuff, could do with more time in the area so I can do them all.

Haha I started that thread and have been to FOD multiple times after going that first time I liked it so much whereas afan never inspired me to go again. Don't get me wrong, afan is a great place, but for me for its much better.

FoD downhill trails are fun but only if you enjoy braking bumps, tricky camber turns and very high speed blind features.
The new trail bottom sections are not good.
