3/4 length shorts

I'm looking for a pair of 3/4 length shorts with a pad in a roubaix style fabric or windstopper fabric. I want an elasticated waste shorts rather than bib shorts for commuting convenience.
I've seen some Endura ones that fit the bill but the pad felt a bit lacking. I have seen some dhb ones online but not in person.
Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives?

I wear Endura Humvee 3/4 shorts for my commute and they're great. Very comfy and non restrictive. Keep me a nice temperature too. Pad isnt that bad either, but my commute isn't really long enough to need it. I'm a 34" in jeans which should be Large in the shorts but was advised to size up and I'm glad I did as the XLs are a perfect fit without being too baggy that they flap around.Current:

Yeah, Castelli Sorpasso and Nanoflex.
I wear the latter when raining and the former when cold.
This year I may just do without tights and just buy some really long (Rapha) winter socks. That will close the gap on the really cold daysMy blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Azore baggy MTB shorts here, practical, not inflicting Lycra on anyone and can be found dirt cheap.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Another vote for the Humvee's!
They come with a clip in comfy padded liner too.

I do practice modesty and wear some baggy shorts over the top. I have thought about the humvees but given they are a baggy short, I wonder if they are going to do what I want - keep my knees warm. And there is a lot of material there to get soaked.
I got a pair of these

Bargain price and they are just what I wanted. The pad is a bit oddly shaped though and I should have gone for a size bigger but they still fit.0 -
If you can still find them then the Fox Evolution 3/4 liner shorts are the absolute dogs. Fleecy, great fit, warm as toast and a really good pad. I ride mine with either Endura MT500 shorts over the top or Singletrack 3/4s (MT500s if it's wet!).Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
