what is the best inner tube Valve .. Presta or Schrader ?

Hello ,

i am trying to order another inner tube for my bike
but i found 2 different type of Valve .. Presta and Schrader
which one is better ?

on my current bike i have Presta Valve
but am confused about choosing my new one
i searched a lot but i can't find exact and good answer

    They are different diameters, generally a schrader valve will not fit thru a rim designed for presta valves.

    Depends what wheel you have? From my experience every inner tube for my road bike with 700 x 23c tyres have all had Presta valves. I've never came across any inner tubes that size (or 700 x 25 ) with Schrader. If you have a track pump that fits Presta then there's no reason not to have Presta. First time you use them just rememberer you have to unscrew the small locking nut to inflate then screw it back down afterwards.

    If you have a road bike, and your current tubes are Presta, chances are that Schrader valves will not fit.

    Which is entirely irrelevant what matters is the size of hole in your rim.

    Presta will fit through a Schraeder hole. But not the other way round.

    Look at what you have and reorder that.
