Well done, you spotted it too
Air cooled is the only way, that horrid big radiator at the front is wrong on every level "Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

There used to be a Type 2 ambulance in Verona with a Porsche lump in the back. They had more modern ambulances, but the drivers all wanted that, even though it was terrifying. That was cool.0 -

It's just not right in any way for a Type 2 to be water cooled, they're even worse when they're the ones that have the fake spare wheel on the front to try and hide the radiator
The only way to go with those is air cooled and tax free"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Just for your benefit, and that of any other philistines on here, this is a 'modern' water cooled Type 2 VW bus with a nasty grille on the front
Whereas this is an original Type 2 without the monstrosity on the front because it is aircooled as the good people at VW intended when they originally built them before the idiots in Brazil began building them again.

Although if you're going to put Porsche wheels on they really should be Fuchs.

Air cooled...

Did it actually go around corners?
I had a type 2 '74 with a Devon conversion (2 canvas beds in the flip roof). Spent 8 months solid restoring it.
That splitty is all wrong with the two tone modern metallic paint job. Anyone see the restoration man's small spaces? The split screen camper in that was gorgeous.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
