Looking to spend around £50 ish willing to spend a little extra if its going to be worthwhile however. Seen a few on CRC but a lot have mixed confusing reviews.
Anybody recomend any of these or if they know of any other decent ones thanks in advance.

Remove breathable (as in breathable enough to dissipate the sweatfest while MTB'ing) from your requirements and you'll find it easier to get what you want.0

As above. 'Breathable' is a bit relative in mountain biking.
But if it was my money, I'd buy the Laser II.
.....in fact, two year ago, I did. And I'd happily buy another. How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

These have also caught my eye but which is the superior model I don't know

I've been very happy with the Montane Singletrack jacket I bought from Merlin last year. Very thin and lightweight, so not too hot, but excellent waterproofing, long in the back and packs down to about the size of a large orange, so it can live in your pack fulltime without getting in the way. Also, more robust than it seems - several times I've scraped it on trees or brambles and expected it to rip, but it's held up very well.
Was reduced to £30 odd when i bought it - IIRC the RRP was about double that, so worth shopping around.0 -
Actually settled on the altura mayhem in blue. which I found for about £65, which was a steal. Have to say other than the fact it has no mp3 pocket its been perfect for what I was after would defo recomend it at that price.SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!
