Does it have the traditional 130 mm BCD?
No 36 will fit , 38 is the smallest as you can see by looking ar it.0 -
The manufacturer isn't important, the primary concern is the bolt circle diameter (BCD). A 36t chainring would need to have a BCD of 110mm or smaller. As you've got 52/39 chainrings I'd guess that you've got cranks with a 130mm BCD and the smallest you can go is (I think) 38t.
If you want lower gears, you're easiest option will probably be changing the cassette.0
