Hi Everybody,
It's been a while since I had anything to do with bikes, but apparently with kids things go full circle and suddenly I find myself having to consider getting my leg over a crossbar for the first time since car keys arrived in my hand 18 years ago.
Having had a quick look around the Web I can see that things have moved on from racers, BMXs and ATBs, and price has become more of an issue! I'm looking to pick up a bike that will let me hit the road and the trail with my kids so I figure a 'hybrid' is a good place to start, but I want to keep my spend as low as possible - I figure no more than £500. Is this optimistic? And does anybody have any advice on decent brands? This is a whole new market to me and I haven't got a clue!!!
