hello all,
got a pair of Specilized bg road shoes size 44 they fit pretty well but looking to upgrade to Giro Trans, any suggestions what the size like?
spec 44 same as a giro 44?? bigger or smaller?
Would love to buy from a LBS but none stock giro and got a cracking price on bike-discount.de
Thanks

Giro are about a half size smaller (44 S-Works vs. 44.5 Empire). This is confirmed by the mondo point (cm size) which is the only true sizing metric.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

Am 45 in Specialized, but need 46 in Giro.

I am exactly the same as derosa but this question was asked recently and received very mixed responses. I can only assume that the width/ shape of your feet results in a different answer for some folks hence I would always suggest trying them on in a shop as the rule of thumb does not have a 100% hit rate!

Here's a Trans and an Sworks. The SW is 43 and the Trans is 43.5. Notice how the SW is ever so slightly longer. This is a standard width Trans but is still slightly wider than the Sworks. I think the Trans runs 3/4 of a size smaller than Sworks.
But as pointed out, no 2 feet are alike! Not even my own left and right

Profound apologies - my earlier post showed me talking through my hat - completely mis-read OP's question - my comment related to Sidi, not Giro shoes. Sorry for the bad steer I may have given earlier.
