Bang it on twitter, they'll soon get sick of the phone calls.

(Or it'll rile them enough to go for no. 15)
Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.

Had a white van at my house today. Will check all tradesmen for such filth in future.
Would be gutted if I did not notice something like that until after they had done the work.

    Did you take the photo?
    Sure its not a photoshop?

In a decent country that would be illegal and police would deal with severely.
Unfortunately we live in one where convicted murderers are allowed to come from abroad and live here

Back of the van has drawing of cyclists & a score against them suggesting several have been "taken/run over/dealt with" or insert your own understanding of the message
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

ever seen wwii bombers - they have bombs on the side for each raid. fighter planes had swastikas for each kill. the van has cyclists - number of hits. i doubt it's real, but it's a bad *joke*

There should be 14 pictures of bikes not a tally.

Maybe he is a slim/fit keen cyclist with 14 bikes and planning at least 2 more.
His human rights mean we have to consider that a possibility and not prejudice any subsequent trial

Edit: What am I saying  .......... It could be a female driving the van

OP - did you take the photo? If not, where did you find it?

They have a website btw: http://www.marlinupvc.co.uk/contactus.html

Or you could leave some really bad reviews here: http://www.findacraftsman.com/Feedback/ ... px?id=6344

Not sure what you could use this information for: https://www.opencompany.co.uk/company/0 ... vc-limited maybe scope for one of their tally to sue them out of business.
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
  • What we are missing is a pushbike next to it with a 'van tally' on its frame.

Odd that the OP will not clarify that he took the photo.

Maybe he had some dodgy gutters fitted by them, or they are a rival to his business and he wants to be free of the competition 8)
  • I saw one of these on the back of a van last night driving down the A34. A quick google shows that these "funny" stickers can be bought off Amazon and the like in multiple varieties including pedestrians, grannies etc so suspect we may se a few more of these sadly.

I assume the OP wont confirm he took the picture on the basis that he was probably driving at the time and wishes to avoid 3 points (or more). Anyone with Gimp or lightroom care to have a look at the histogram for signs of tampering? I had a quick look using what I have on this computer and it seems genuine - though its heavily compressed due to the resolution which makes it hard.

Blimey - do you think I'd go to all that trouble?

    Response from my complaint

These are not the number of cyclists I have killed, just knocked off. Try getting a sense of humour and take it in the fun it was ment. I could have got OAP stickers , but Im sure you would protest about that too

Oh well, that's OK then Mr. Stenning, as long as you didn't kill them.

I wouldn't normally do it but I think I might forward that to the police, since he's just admitted dangerous driving. They won't do anything with it, but it should go on record. Then if an incident is reported in the future it could come back to haunt him.

He may have meant it in jest or he might be serious (I hope it's the former) - the problem is, it's a bit too close to the bone for too many of us and as humour - it's in poor taste - although you'd get away with that in a comedy sketch.
Of course, there's nothing on the tally that suggests it's knocking cyclists off - it could equally be cyclists he's helped out with mechanicals or a tally of a specific bike he's seen - it's just a tally and means nothing on it's own. However, I do know that some police take a dim view of implied profanity on cars and they may take a similar stance on this too.

He's not very bright is he.

Would any of us on here think - "that firm is the one for me" after seeing those stickers ?

It's all very much about interpretation as Slowbike says really but I guess the guys attitude also comes into play, it was more than likely meant as a bit of fun but because it ended up on here being discussed by cyclists the 'humour' has been lost.

If this thread was on a non cycling forum people would possibly be finding it more amusing just as if the picture here was of an old dear with a zimmer frame I suspect less of you would be objecting.

Yep, in the same way that Spitfire pilots kept a tally of German airmen they rescued or how many Me-109s they'd seen. ;)

I suppose at a push it might be considered humour but I wouldn't employ anyone whose van carried that sticker.
