my friend just got a Canyon Spectral AL with a reverb stealth post and it twists around by a few millimetres there's no other play left-right, front-back, up down just a very slight wobble.

  • As its new it sounds like it might have a bit more play in than I'd be happy with. Some play is normal though.
  • As said - they do have some play. Takes some time getting used to it when you are used to a normal seatpost.

3 of my mates have Reverbs and none of them have play from side to side.

Mine has a very slight movement (rotational) but I doubt it's even a mm. No movement side to side or front to back. Sounds like it needs to go back.

it doesn't have play as such its hard to describe, you know how when you get a tight seat post in and you have to twist it backwards and forwards so the seat is a bit out of line one way then a bit out of line the other its in that plane its as If the seat is trying to twist itself around but only very very slightly by maybe a few millimetres I am assuming its ok but I just wondered. The seat post doesn't have play in any other orientation that would be concerning just feels as if the seat is very slightly lose I guess but you cant feel it whilst riding.

A tiny amout of rotational play is normal. It just barely moves but enough to feel a slight knock if you wiggle it.

My Process came with a KS Eten which is half the price of a Reverb and it's absolutely rock solid, no movement in any direction. I'm quite impressed with it.

  • A degree or two of Yaw is normal.

A degree or two is a lot. It's a small fraction of a degree.
  • Can you give me the exact amount then if we're being all pedantic - minutes and seconds will suffice :)

Is that more or less than a smidge?

    Strictly speaking, it's a 'tad'.
