Winter Cap

My current winter cap of choice is the Assos Fugucap but it has one drawback of not having a peak. Being a baldy I need as much cold weather protection for my head.
I'm looking at either Vulpine Winter Storm Cap or the Rapha Winter or deep winter cap.
Anyone here got any experience good or bad of these?

I have the Rapha winter hat and it's great this will be it's 4th winter coming and it still looks new!0

I have the Prendas Belgian winter style hat which would also seem to meet your requirements. I think it does everything the Rapha hat does at a more wallet friendly price. I really rate mine.0

+1 The Prendas hat is every bit as good as the Rapha (although different materials) and was easily my headwear of choice last Winter

This one looks similar to the Prendas one, and a little cheaper.

I have a Craft one that I rate highly but won't link to it as it now seems to have been discontinued.“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0 -
I have a Giro helmet liner which is excellent.
I also have a Kask Infinity, which has a closable vent. The Kask is lovely but would be too hot for a very hot day (was on it's limit yesterday in 22-23degC) but will be perfect for winter riding.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

Rapha winter hat is the best bit of kit they have made IMHO0

I've gone for the Rapha.
The prendas looked good but some complaints about it not fitting under a helmet.0 -
Just don't like Rapha having put their logo across the brim.0

What's the difference between the Rapha Winter Hat and the Deep Winter Hat?0

+1 from me too. I'm on my second (first lost elasticity after 4 years).
I got the first one because there weren't many alternatives at the time. There are quite a few 'belgium' winter caps out there now though but the Rapha one is warm without boiling you alive and lasts well.
I'd avoid anything thin and windproof, my experience of them is that they tend to be noisy when they cover your ears.
The Vulpine looks good as a warm and wet cap but I don't think it covers your ears.0 -

Probably the price.0 -
Maybe because I have a thick mop of hair I don't need the warmest hats - my favourites are the Rapha merino wool and the Assos Stinger. I have the Fugucap but suspect it would be so cold that the risk of ice would prevent me from going out wearing it!!

Just received my Rapha order (ouch).
The winter hat (navy blue with bright pink bands) is so comfy and it fully covers my ear.

Good choice, I have a red country one and it was great last winter.Look 566 viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12892775&p=18015091#p18015091
