Hey guys,
I am currently looking at getting a beam bar or pannier for my Specialized tarmac, which has not pannier attachment points.
The reason I want it is so that I can carry first aid kit and extra water for group rides i will be running this summer.
Has anyone used any pannier attachments on a tarmac before?
Cheers George

Another possibility, that I would happily do on a bike with aluminium seat stays, would be P-Clips on the stays and a seatpost clamp with rack mounts like this: https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/system_ex_ ... oCsr_w_wcB
Not sure if P-Clips is advisable on carbon seat stays though, if they are not specced to carry the load in that place - I think it would be OK, but dont take my word for it!
See thread here: http://singletrackworld.com/forum/topic ... nier-racks
Beam racks can be OK, but they can move sideways sometimes if not well secured and they have weight limits that you can use - first aid kit no problem, but how much water are you talking about???
You can also carry a couple of extra water bottles in a cage that mounts on your saddle, if that helps.0 -
