Hi all
I am looking to by the Defy 1, but I am unsure whether to go for the 2015 model or the 2014 model. I will be buying the bike through 'Cycle Scheme'. I can get the 2014 model for about £780 (£699 + 11% charge from Rutland Cycles) or the 2015 model for £899 (from Cycle Surgery). Because of the tax saving, the 'true' extra cost to me is not £120 - it's more like £70ish.
Is the 2015 a much improved spec on the 2014?

The component specs. are comparable except the 2015 bike has the new 5800 105 11sp0 -
Is that worth paying the extra £70 for? Apologies, but I don't really know an awful lot about specs.0

The 2014 Defy 1 is a nice bike and a good spec and will be a nice bike to ride as long as you get the correct size. If I were in your position for an extra £70 I'd buy the 2015 Defy 1 because it is supposed to be even more comfortable with the redesigned frame, D-Fuse seat tube/seatpost and seat stays, and has the new 11sp 5800 105 STI, FD and RD.0

Perfect, thank you.0
