Long shot anyone got one?

Finding it harder to resist buying one. Only problem left is the non replaceable hanger

  • For road bikes, I wouldn't worry too much about the non-replaceable hanger. I have yet to have problems from that, and I would only worry about that if I was riding a mountain bike, where the chances of crashing are much higher.
  • I had to replace the hangar on my bike when it was only a few days old - turned my back and it fell over in my kitchen after I'd been tweaking something. Yup, muppet...

The Koppenberg is good enough for Fabian to ride all year, not just in the Classics, and it is guaranteed to be very rare. The flexy seatpost thing on the Domane is an acquired taste though - I didn't like the feel of it when I tried a regular Domane, but lots of people seem to love it. Definitely one for a test ride before you buy.
  • No excuse for a non-replaceable hanger really - sure it is unlikely to be a problem but It only takes an unshopped chain to wrap round the mech - it happens occasionally.

Well I've bent the mech hanger on both my bikes through a couple of falls and one incident where the bike just fell over in the garage*, so I'd be a bit nervous about a non replaceable hanger on anything but a steel frame.

    * OK, I might have nudged it with the wheelie bin...
  • Ride a Domane regularly and love it, but don't love the geo its to relaxed the koppenberg sorts this.

As for the hanger i've done 2 in 5 year on my canyon, however the stainless steel hanger should be harder wearing?

Another problem campag would be going on it and it has shimano decals with i believe will be under the clear coat
