I noticed the signs for this sportive the previous day and happened to see some of the participants of the female only event for a worthy cause whilst driving to Southampton through the New Forest.
I am completely at a loss as to why the route planner for this event would send cyclists along a 7-8 mile stretch of the busy and very fast A35 that has a max speed limit of 60mph for the entire length that the participants travelled. Whoever they are, they should be prevented from planning any other cycling event.
