Assos S5 Uno bibshorts cameltoe question

Ive been using btwin supportive 7 bibshorts which cost me £50 when I bought them a while back , they are fine for rides up to about 45 miles but beyond this distance I always get numbness in the sitbones area with the perineum being absolutely fine. I rang CRC and they told me they have the Uno bibs in stock for £116.00. I love the look of the wide shoulder straps and there are plenty of positive reviews out there. I am 5 feet 9 inches , 78 kg and wear size 34 trousers. CRC says size M for me but I don't believe that for an instant, I think im more likely to be size L for good fit. When viewing the range of Assos products at CRC I noticed that Assos man is usually seen wearing their products sporting a huge male camel toe which looks simply ridiculous. Can I ask anyone here who has tried the S5 Uno`s is this hanging the family jewels out for all to see typical of Assos products ?

Unless you're planning on wearing shorts round town - why are you concerned ? They'll look fine on the bike.0

Love the thread title..
They don't look like that on you unless you are Assos man, or at least my S5 F1s don't. Assos man is clearly not quite human and probably has strange genital anatomy.
They do say that sizing is best done by height. I'm the same height as you although 15kg lighter and M is fine for me. They have a fair degree of lateral stretch in the upper body, they would probably fit unless you have massive Greiple quads.0 -

I appreciate what you are saying Cougie, but this picture is LESS embarrassing than how Assos man looks modelling bibshorts and other Assos tights etc
If the Uno`s don't make me look like Ive two oranges shoved down the front of them then ill be delighted, a heads up from those who have tried them would be useful. This serious internet site..............I serious cat0 -
On a serious note, my in laws are regularly at my house and I shudder at the thought of standing in front of my mother in law with the Uno displaying my knackers for all to see. This serious internet site..............I serious cat0 -

I am 5'10 and 75kg and my S5s are a medium. I tried the large and they were too big.0

5'11" and 77kg and the mediums are fine. When I was 70kg the smalls fit.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

I am the same size as Grill but after trying on both, I chose the Large - admittedly this was for S7 Centos. The 'penthouse' is very comfy and I don't think your relatives have cause for concern.
I keep meaning to get a set of S5 while they are selling the old stock off cheaply.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

£116-99 at Crc, I mentioned on the phone the uno are discontinued but it was still £116-99 , the new S7 neopros with pad not sewn down in areas wouldn't be for me at allThis serious internet site..............I serious cat0 -

Why not? They are really good.0 -
£116 is more than they usually went for before they were discontinued (by comparision i recently got a pair for £85) so i'd be reluctant to part with the cash and instead go for either the new model or the old (old) model T_Pro S2. They are all decent shorts.0

The Uno S5 pad which is firmly sewn down stays planted under my plums and is a joy to use, ive read about the unsewn bit on the neopros sliding around under the junk and I think I made the right choice in buying the Uno bibs. This serious internet site..............I serious cat0 -

That is a killer price, can I ask where you got them ? Before you reply they weren't the bright yellow or red ones that primera sell were they ?This serious internet site..............I serious cat0 -
This seems as good a place to ask as any - does anyone have any opinions on whether Assos bibs (and other brands) tend to shrink or stretch with use and many washes? (at 30 C). My impression is that my S5s are just slightly tighter fitting now than when new, although if so it is quite a subtle change. I'm pretty sure they haven't stretched. Possibly relevant if you are trying to decide between two different sizes having tried both on.0
