Vittoria tyre with sharp object embedded inside

Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem.

I've been for my first ride on a new bike (Felt F85) only to get a puncture after 2 miles. When I took the tyre off I found a sharp piece of plastic actually embedded in the inside of the tyre rim.



This is the object I removed from the tyre


This wasn't something that had stuck in - it was moulded into the tyre

    Sorry - no idea how to get rid of the duplicate image :(

    That says about quality control at the Vittoria factory in Thailand, I guess... return the tyre, it is faulty
