Just bought a forme hiver winter bike and need guards. Has got proper eyes so was between SKS P35 and P45. Will be using mainly with 28mm road tyres with occasional 35 mm xc tyres. What would you recommend?

  • I'm like Bluemels. Similar to the Chromoplastics but more subtle. Smart in matte black but sadly not available in all sizes.
    tick - tick - tick
  • You'd need the P45s if you want to use 35mm cross tyres under them. Also worth considering the SKS P45 longboard, especially if you ride in a group as they do cut down spray more than the standard version.
  • Thanks Am thinking the bluemels 42mm in matt black are the right choice

You can always extend the flaps on guards with a bit of plastic and duck tape.

Yep - bits of fairy liquid bottles, your son's shin pad, the options are many
