  • Decent build if that what you want ie tubeless ready 32 spoke wheelset with reliable hubs. By decent I mean it could be ecxellent but that will depend on the qulaity of the wheel build it self which I cannot comment on.

  • I have this exact build and it has served me great so far. The rims aren't really for winter but mine have been though one and came out of the other side okay. I only paid £250, how much are they?
  • Thanks for the replies. They retail at around £370 .

If you went bespoke they would cost you more, so the price is good. Hope builds have very patchy quality, so maybe worth having someone handy to have a look at them. Builds with low or inhomogeneous spoke tension tend to give lots of problems over time

  • The above is so true which is why most shops sell so many shimano, campagnolo or fulcrum wheels as they are often quite consistant in spoke tension and tension uniformity. To many machine built or even handbuilt wheels are not.

Archetype rims on DT hubs are available from JRA for pretty much the same price. Better rims and better hubs, plus decent build quality. That's what I'd go for.
