Does anyone know anything about them? Cant say the name rings any bells.
Look nice though, very subtle.

Wow, nice bit of bike snobbery going on there, tragic.0 -

Could someone buy one and let me know what it is like as Halfords in Ireland do feck all worth buying, be lucky to get a Boardman here!0 -
I wouldn't buy anything from Halfords, no matter what the cost... that's just me0
-
Not even car polish? FFS some people have such issues with Halfords based upon other peoples opinions, so whats your issue with them Sarm34?0

Reckon that's my pick of the road bikes too, may persuade me to use the Cycle2Work scheme again next year
ACCarrera Fury for the muddy stuff
Boardman Road Team for the black stuff
PDQ for the TT stuff0 -
they are a brand new brand, and i have seen the bikes and they are stunning. They are designed by justin stevenson. They are not a line to take over the boardman range they are a brand to be sold alongside the boardman range offering an alternative to the Halfords customer.
But yes they are stunning and the top of the range coming with an aero carbon wheelset is nice.0 -
i can't decide if thoose weird brakes are good idea or not?0

bit heavy wonder what bits on it
make it so?0 -
The 13 road bikes seem to have a resemblance to BMC bikes which might not be a bad thing. The website is very brash and fairly grandiose in its claims:

They're good looking bikes. I like that the frame is quite lightly built around the seat cluster, maybe to give some comfort? It looks delicate and considered, not maxed out.
What I didn't like was BR's typical reaction of "no discs". They're opinion is generally a bit rubbish, always trying to be 'on-trend'. Sad.When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.0 -
They look good, nice frame designs. One problem, how can a company come up with what looks like a great range, colour scheme, product design etc. and then call the range 13.
Don't get it, crap name, another number more relevant to cycling would have even been better. Their next range is 666.0 -

Good 13 is my lucky number though so it works for me. Shame i cannot buy one as i live in Ireland and they wont be stocking them for about another 5 years i think. Cannot figure out any other way unless Halfords UK will sent to my local Halfords here. :?0 -
Worked at halfords while at university, would never buy any thing more than a kids bike from there. Absolute jokers, it's not snobbery it's common sense. They don't love bikes, the fact I wanted to take pride in my work upset the manager, he was happy for repairs or builds to be rushed and bodged.time to man up.0

Far too many people have had shocking experiences with halfords over the years for people's opinion or perception to change in the 10 minutes they have decided to be a big boys bike shop.
They need to earn peoples trust over the next few years in order to get recommended on forums like this.
My brother has had bad recent experience buying bikes off them the last couple years, so that's where my prejudice comes from...though as everywhere some branches and staff will be good others awful.0 -
I said things are changing. Not things have changed. The whole le team at halfords are more than aware of their reputation across the cycling community and they really do want to change. They also know it won't happen overnight. But for everyone who turns around and goes they are rubbish at everything it's simply not the case everywhere now!0

Nice paint job but the frames have an ugly geometry. Also putting brakes behind the forks and on the BB is a waste of time for a regular bike.0

I think value for money wise they are tough to beat, carbon clinchers on a carbon frame with Ultegra for less than 2k is remarkable. only time will tell if they are actually any good. I am personally not for the graphics, think they are quite ugly, and the front brake is a poor solution, but i wouldn't write them off just because Halfords sell it, i do my own maintenance anyway.Canyon Roadlite AL-Shamal Wheels-Centaur/Veloce Group

My thoughts too, given the market some of these bikes are aimed at I can see issues with the callipers sticking.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -
