Might be doing first race on Sunday, and these look like a good option.

Anyone have any experience? And, should I leave them on there for the commute, would I be right in saying no real puncture protection?

Its a great winter training tyre, all that extra weight will pay dividends when you swap them in the spring.================

Anyhoo, pretty good. Obviously not for the gloopy stuff but really good on grass and dry trails, gravel etc.
And very good for commuting. 6 commutes so far, 40 miles round trips, no issues and roll very well.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

They look very similar to the Kenda Small Block 8s which are excellent for the same stuff you mention.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Yeah, made by Vee Rubber and, I think, they even have the cheek to call them the Vee 8. Come in lots of sizes up to fat bike.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)
