Heart rate monitors and Edge 1000

Anyone else having major issues with their Edge 1000 and heart rate monitors? I have a Wahoo Tickr and an oldskool basic (e.g. none premium) Garmin one - Edge 1000 ocassionaly connects to the Tickr - then drops the connection straight away... Edge 1000 connects quickly to the oldskoll Garmin basic one - but the data seems to be inconsistent and stops after a while... What a mare!

Anyone got the Edge 1000 working WELL and CONSISTENTLY with any heart rate monitors out there?

I got the Tickr to replace the oldskool Garmin one as it seemed to be inconsistent - Tickr works perfectly with my Forerunner 305 now... also my ANT stick plugged into my computer for use on TrainerRoad... But the Edge seems to hate it! I have also noticed lots of bluetooth drop outs... I am running v 2.4 - is this connected perhaps?

Advise please....

Dubbs I am using the premium one that came with it and it is flawless.

Try a full device reset and re-pair the device. It may be looking for both devices if you have tried to pair them both.

Thanks mate. Wahoo have got back to me and they confirm they have had a few reports of this - they seem to think SOME Edge 1000s are having an issue working with the Tickr which is very annoying - I hope Garmin do something about it! Just used my old Garmin strap that came with my Forerunner 305 and that worked ok on a short test... will see it it works on the 3 hour ride I have planned for sunday.... bloody annoying!

Sounds like the issue is on the Wahoo side. I've used multiple HRMs with my Garmins and never had a problem.

Surely its not possible to update hardware once its created? could Garmin fix with a firmware update? or you think Wahoo will issue replacement hardware?
