The difference is that Lake honoured the warranty, Specialized did not, so your original comparison is baseless.

    Bizarre.

My Lakes failed. (And my Bonts).

My Sworks did not. (2 pairs, 2 years, 27 000km).
  • My Allez just took me 154km through the Peak District and over holm moss, can't say I can fault it really.

I've not been riding long, 12 months or so, so I guess safe isn't a bad thing.

4 bikes in 12 months? hats off to you!

  • Only 3 are real bikes, the other is one of those heavy things for when there is no tarmac.

1000 posts in 12 months. I chat shit but that's quite something. Chapeau sir.

From the outside it just seems that people buy Specialized because they are 'safe' and are scared to dip a toe in the water of what cycling is really about.

    What a load of sh**

I've ridden LEL, Mille Cymru, Bryan Chapman, The Fred Whitton and thousands of other miles on my Roubaix and it's been great. Maybe one day I'll know what cycling is really about!

Not on the Mille Cymru. First full value ride I've ever done!

  • I was an hour in front of you looking at Strava. I've normally got a bit more than that in hand but Mille Cymru was hardly a 'normal' Audax. Just finishing in 75 hours by anyone was good going in my book.

Which PBP group are you going with next year?
