Apologies in advance for posting another 'what road bike' post.

I have been looking at upgrades from my current Giant Defy 1 road bike and I have come across the Cube Agree GTC Pro Compact Road Bike 2014 on sale at Leisure Lakes for £1189. The deal looks brilliant with full 105 and carbon frame, it also looks very nice in my opinion.

However, my current Defy is a relaxed geometry which is ideal for longer endurance rides and sportives. This is what I would like to continue doing, would anyone be able to tell me if the Agree GTC fits into an endurance bike and should this be the bike I should go for if I intend to do longer rides?

Many thanks in advance!

  • I think the Agree frame is somewhere in between race and endurance. I've found it very comfortable on long rides, myself.

As above really, it is slightly more racy than some but not overly aggressive, best advice would be find somewhere that sells them and go have a look.

Racier than the Defy. Watch the geometry, too - Cubes come up small, so you probably need (at least) one nominal size up from your current bike. If you're looking at a 2014 (i.e. 10-speed) bike, I'd have a good look in the Classifieds first, as £1100 will get you a lot of year-old carbon bike. Including (ahem) one that I'm selling...
  • Hi
Just bought one of these 3 weeks ago and love it. Did find it cheaper after I bought it for £1099 at cube bikes northeast.
The 2015 model is £1189 but doesn't look as good IMO.
