suunto hrm.is it just me?

Sorry-not sure if this should be in this bit of the forum,-I have a little used Suunto M2 hrm with the comfort strap,I have replaced the strap after very little use,and it only lasted a couple of rides before packing up,so I am reluctant to replace it again at £25.00 a throw,and wonder if it is the transmitter this time,just wondered if anyone had any experience of these,it's a good bit of kit when working-maybe i should just bin it for a polar,hate chucking stuff away though....

    Is the strap under guarantee? Has it been sitting about a while? Changing the battery might help. Suunto stuff has been about a while they also make wrist mounted dive computers and generally thought to be good gear.

    Think it might be the transmitter as if you" snap" the belt's elastic it works for a minute or two- tried changing the battery to no avail.Trying to locate the purchase receipt!
