I'm using the standard finned shimano brake pads and they're very good but I could do with some new ones
The Shimanos have lasted very well but are expensive, are the superstar sintered ones as good as the shimanos?
Not had the best experience with superstar ones in the past

I've found no difference in either my Saint's or XTR's. One of the few things I still buy from Superstar although I've bought from Uberbike the last couple of times but they're the same pads.0

do they last roughly the same time as shimanos?
(6 months ish)0 -
I haven't noticed a difference but then I never get a set amount of time out of pads. Sometimes I get a month, sometimes I get a few, it just varies to much to even know the average.0

that's fair enough, well if you're telling me they feel as good as the shimanos I'll give them a go0

got shimano fined pads also, found superstar and uberbike pads to be slightly smaller in the caliper so made more noise when you brake since they move more. superstar also squealed like a pig uberbike didn't. both worked though.0

I replaced my shimano finned pads with Superstar sintered and have also used Uberbike since then. Power is at least as good as originals and life varies depending on where im riding and conditions but I would say they are about right.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
